Zayed National Museum - Interactive screens
Overview
Zayed National Museum is the national museum of the United Arab Emirates. Located at the heart of Abu Dhabi’s Saadiyat Cultural District, it celebrates the rich history, culture and stories of the UAE and the timeless values of the country’s founder, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, whose enduring example continues to guide the nation and its people today.
Through its exhibitions, research and public programs, Zayed National Museum explores the origins of the values that Sheikh Zayed embodied throughout his life and their lasting influence on the country that he founded.
The Challenge
The museum is organized into pods, each featuring multiple interactive screens. The challenge was to design exhibits that allowed visitors to engage with and learn about Zyed's story in a seamless and immersive way.
My role : Senior Product Designer
I play an active role in supporting the creative team by utilizing my skills in User Experience (UX) and User Interface (UI) design. My main focus is to help refine their creative concepts and turn these ideas into practical, user-friendly designs. This includes crafting user journeys, transforming concepts into UI elements, and developing detailed prototypes to bring the ideas to life and ensure clients have a clear understanding of them.

Dashboards
In addition to my work with the creative team, I collaborate closely with the Content Management System (CMS) team. Together, we develop comprehensive dashboards that provide valuable insights for curators and designers. These dashboards are designed to facilitate data-driven decision-making, enabling the continuous improvement of exhibits based on visitor interactions and feedback.
By integrating UX/UI principles with data analytics, I aim to enhance the overall visitor experience, ensuring that exhibits are not only visually appealing but also intuitive and responsive to user needs. This dual focus on creative design and data utilization helps in creating exhibits that are both engaging and effective, ultimately contributing to the success of our projects and the satisfaction of our visitors.
Achievements
Successfully contributed to the development of Zayed museum during my time at Squint Opera. While I moved on before the project's completion, I am proud of the innovative solutions and collaborative efforts that laid a strong foundation for its future success.
