O2 - UX/UI Interactive table screen

O2 - Store of the future

Overview - UX/UI Interactive table screen

The concept effectively brings the world of O2 Priority in store, becoming a gateway to the latest events and regularly updated to tell relevant stories.

My role

My part in the project was to create an app for interactive display around the movie Star Wars: The Force Awakenswhere customers engage with the brand. I have designed user journeys, wireframes, created prototypes and test on real environment to make sure the UI would follow accessibility standards to make sure users have a delightful experience.

Research

Meetings with internal teams (interior designers and graphic designers) was held to make sure the achievements was consistent between the different areas.

I started looking at competitors with the same kind of table interactive display in stores to define type, size of screen and find out how the customers interact with the screen then went visit few O2 stores and spoke with staff to understand types of customers that potentially would be interest in interact with the display.

The Process

I started look at the O2 guidelines and had a meeting with the client to discuss what content we would have access as the film wasn’t released just yet.

After a couple meetings and conversations we defined the content we would like to display and offer to the O2 customers an exclusive material from the film.

I started visualize the wireframes and with a prototype made in Marvel shared with the client and stakeholders.

On the design phase i created a prototype with the same size screen as we were going to have in the store and set up some internal user testings, from the testing I had to make few changes like size of buttons to be more touchable and change the speed of the transitions to be more fluid and respond to the customers needs.

Outcome

An Attract & Inspire zone, including a set of reconfigurable digital screens, hosts brand takeovers at the start of the customer journey.

For launch, the interactive display was around the movie Star Wars: The Force Awakens. These flexible design elements ensure customers always have something fresh to discover and a reason to return the stores.
